The Photo Exhibition "BAM-40" has Opened on Tverskoy Boulevard
The unique photos from the history of Baikal-Amur Mainline are presented at the exhibition "BAM-40" organized by the news agency ITAR-Tass and Russian Railways company (RZHD).
The exhibition has opened on Tverskoy Boulevard, in the heart of Moscow. The place was chosen not by chance: here the central office of the oldest in the country and the leading news agency is located that in September will celebrate its 110-th anniversary.
The photo exhibition comprises more than 400 archival images by TASS covering the period from 1974 to 1984, they tell about the most large-scale construction of the last century.
It's kind of chronicle of Baikal-Amur Mainline that has imprinted work days and life of the railway builders. All presented images have never before been published in media, neither shown at exhibitions.
The photo exhibition will last till August 30.
