Baltic House Theatre Festival goes on in St. Petersburg

The parade entrance to Baltic House Theatre Festival on Saturday, October 12, turns into an open platform of the new project OpenTheatre when the video-recording of the play Bury Me Behind the Skirting board is presented to the people St. Petersburg free of charge, says the theatre representative.

The project is taking place within the XXIII International Baltic House Theatre Festival held in St. Petersburg from October 4 to November 20. Each year the festival offers the first-night performances of European troupes to its audience.
The show takes place in Alexander Park. The special screen is installed at the parade entrance of Baltic House Theatre. The show is presented freely, most probably seats are going to be organized for spectators. “We have looked for the weather forecast for the weekend and it  should be warm”, says the source.

The project starts on Saturday, October 12 at 15.00 with the presentation of the cult play Bury Me Behind the Skirting board based on the novel by Pavel Sanayev with the same title and directed by Igor Konyaev.

Roman Gromadsky, Era Ziganshin, Igor Sklar is starring in the play.

Since it is the trial show, the organizers do not specify yet when the next one could take place.

"Everything will depend on the number of spectators and weather conditions, however, we hope that the project is going to be popular with spectators. Perhaps, in the future we will hold the show not only within the framework of the festival, added the spokesperson.
