The VIII International military and historical festival "Ice Battle" will be held in Pskov region near the village of Samolva from May 1 to 3, 2014 – says regional information tourist center.
"The event will take place on the shore of Chudskoye lake. By tradition the festival will be held in the format of the reconstruction of the actual Battle of 1242", - says the report.

It is planned that the first two days will be devoted to the preparation of the battle reconstruction. In particular, the tournaments in archery, qualifying battles and workshops for participants will take place.
On Saturday, May 3, the main event of the festival will be held - the reconstruction of the battle as well as equestrian tournament.
