On August 17, 2014, in the village of Chernukha in Arzamas area the annual honey festival “Honey Spas” will be held.

The beekeeping is developing in Arzamas area since old times. In 1913 an exhibition of achievements of national economy attended by beekeepers took place in Arzamas for the first time.

Modern beekeepers not only breed bees and collect honey – they also study the specifics of bees’ behaviour, examine their lives under artificial conditions of keeping and in natural habitat. Bee products - royal jelly, propolis, honey, bee venom, pollen - contain a large amount of nutrients that are beneficial to health.

The festival features competitions and master classes. At honey exhibition the guests of celebration may highly appreciate the taste of real honey and buy its best kinds: linden, buckwheat, floral, sweet clover, acacia honey, honey in combs as well as propolis, bee-bread, herbal teas, herbs.

In the "City of Masters" an exhibition and sale of items of decorative and applied arts and souvenirs made by original craftsmen of Arzamas area will be organized.
