The Folklore and Literary Festival "The Universe – My Homeland"

11 october, 2014, Republic of North Ossetia–Alania


The festival is dedicated to the 155-th anniversary of the birth of the founder of Ossetian literature Kosta Khetagurov.

The traditional folklore festival "The Universe – My Homeland" that will be held at the birthplace of the poet in the mountain village of Nar will become the main celebration event.

Apart for concert programme within the framework of the celebration the exhibition of folklore and artistic crafts and the stylized exhibition of the works by Kosta Khetagurov will be presented.

In Nara the final round of the competition "Iron zarag" and the international choreographic festival "The Dawns of Alanya" will take place, too.

The commemorative activities include the capital repair of the Museum of Ossetian Literature named after K. Khetagurov, publishing of the additional edition of "The Testament" in 32 languages of the world and the release of the album "100 songs and romances based on the poems by Kosta".
